**In Thailand for the summer... any fellow travellers message me :)** Short Version: Tall, travelled a bit, fit, love banter. Irish background, easy to talk to. Like to cook on the barbecue and I'm a bad movie geek. I have other talents if you really wanna know ha. I tend to take the piss a little if I know you so you should't be offended... It's my way of showing affection ;). Feel free to do the same. x Long Version: I like deep conversations in the early hours of the morning, chats about beliefs, the whole "Why are we here" chat never gets old for me. Also the way families and relationships are changing... I love the smell of cut grass in the summer and driving along a beach road. My favourite time of day is dusk. I love it when you smell something you haven't smelt for years and it reminds you of really good times. I tend to daydream and I really wish I could have a dog but I can't have animals in my apartments. :( I'm different to most of my friends, I was raised on a barstool so I learned early how to sit with someone and just listen. I find it really easy to talk to people. I've met some really interesting characters in the strangest situations in obscure parts of the world. I find the loudest people to be the most uninteresting... It's the quiet ones I look out for. Quality not quantity. I've witnessed 2 natural disasters. It's a pretty humbling experience, people tend to forget they're not quite the top predator on this rock. Mother nature needs only shrug her shoulders and our little vacation here is over. I'm far from perfect but hey, if there aren't any cracks the light can't get in. Right? ;) (Leonard Cohen) I'm not sure what's classed as a hobby... Making money seems to be the main focus of my spare time, but that's out of necessity rather than interest. I'm not the kind of person who aspires to drive a Range Rover or wear somebody's mortgage on my wrist. I need money to do stuff, not have stuff. I like to fix things.. I get a kick out of it. I box, but that doesn't mean I'm a thug. Hemingway defined boxing as "the most honest conversation two men can have". I couldn't agree more. I travel whenever I can afford it, I read whenever I can... I find myself in Costa Coffee more than the average caffeine addict. I should probably pay rent. Oh and I'm a student at John Moores doing Business Information Systems. I wanted to go to uni because I left school with no qualifications. I always thought that I was worse off for not having a degree, I realise now that intelligence is over-rated. It's much more important to be a balanced, happy individual (for me it is anyway). My goals and aspirations haven't changed much since I was a kid. I always wanted to own nightclubs that rewarded kind and friendly people instead of "10 grand millionaires". Nightclubs are microcosms of society and they are policed in the most part by morons. I'd really like to do something to help change that. My favourite fantasy is what I would do if I could go back in time with the knowledge I have now... I can lose hours making plans with my time-machine. What would you change? Anyway that's me...
